Technical note

 

Preparation for firmware (FW) update
 
x3 empty USB sticks are required, please label them as follows:
  • 1st USB stick to preserve the old log file - back up
  • 2nd USB stick for uploading firmware - FW update
  • 3rd USB stick to download new log file - new log file
USB stick mandatory requirements:
  • Formatted as file system to FAT/FAT32
  • The capacity of the USB stick must be less than 32GB

Procedure for firmware update
Copy the relevant firmware file (see below Attachments) to the root directory of the 2nd USB stick.
 
Single model firmware
Applicable model: EVDE25E4DUM, Single CCS2 connector only
Filename: Single_v02.05.01_DCWB25kW.7z
 

Attention! DO NOT change the filename!
Download password: BV3d26g7laAd
After downloading, unzip the 7z file to get two firmware files:
  • 5505604249F
  • DCWB25kW.zip
Dual model firmware
Applicable model: EVDE25D4DUM, CCS2 with CHAdeMO connectors
Filename: Dual_v02.05.01_DCWB25kW.7z
 
    Attention! DO NOT change the filename!
    Download password: BV3d26g7laAd
    After downloading, unzip the 7z file to get two firmware files:
    • 5505604249F
    • DCWB25kW.zip
    Step 1: Download the old log file
    1.) Insert the 1st USB stick to download the old log file for backup.
    a. Release the protection cover at the bottom of the DCWB to expose the USB port and insert the 1st USB stick to download the log file.
     
    b. When the display shows “Remove USB” unplug the USB stick.
     
    c. The system will go back to standby mode after the 1st USB stick is removed.
     
    Step 2: Perform a power cycle
     
    1.) Switch "OFF" using the key located (as shown) on the left-hand side of the DCWB.
    IMPORTANT! Wait at least 20 seconds for the system to discharge completely.

    2.) Switch "ON", wait 3 minutes until the display shows: "Tap card or use app”
    Standby mode
     
    Step 3: Perform firmware upload
     
    1.) Insert the 2nd USB stick into the port, the procedure will start automatically. The update will take approximately one hour. The following messages will be displayed:
     
     
    Steps 4 and 5: Unplug and restart
     
    1.) When the display shows “Remove USB” unplug the USB stick
     
    2.) The system will perform an automatic restart.
    3.) Wait a few minutes until the system goes back to standby mode again.
     
    Step 6: Download the new log file
     
    1.) Insert the 3rd USB stick to download the new log file
     
     
    Step 7: Validate the result
     
    1.) Unzip the new log file using the password: serialnumber@delta
    For example, if the serial number is ZJ3183000069WE, then the password is ZJ3183000069WE@delta
     
    2.) Get into the 2nd layer of the folder. Open the file "DownloadConfiguration" using an application such as “Notepad".
     
     
    3.) Verify firmware versions:
     
    Single model:
    CUM02BA firmware version: v02.05.12.21.01
    CUM02CA firmware version: v01.0B.00.01
    Relay Board firmware version: v01.03.02.00
    Aux Power firmware version: v00.04.05.00
     
    Dual model:
    CUM02BA firmware version: v02.05.12.41.01
    CUM02CA firmware version: v01.0B.00.01
    Relay Board firmware version: v01.03.02.00
    Aux Power firmware version: v00.04.05.00
     
    4.) Verify the other configuration parameters
    a. Unzip the old log file from the 1st USB stick and check if there are any mismatched values between the two "DownloadConfiguration" files in the 1st and 3rd USB sticks. When verifying the parameters (as shown) all the values should be identical. If not, please create a new configuration file and upload again.
